Our first chapel was Tuesday. Mr. McDaniel spoke with the children about what the Bible says about work and how important it is to work for God's glory.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
Colossians 3:23
We also enjoyed singing praise songs. Our favorite was "The Fruit of the Spirit."

The Little Red Hen
As we finish our unit on Ready for School, we read The Little Red Hen. The moral of the story is the importance of working together and helping our friends. We worked together to make butter and enjoyed that with fresh bread for snack. My Mama Hen also came by for a visit.

Pirate Day Fun
We enjoyed pirate themed centers this morning before our treasure hunt: created treasure maps with manipulative and on our new electronic whiteboard, made pirate necklaces, and built pirate ships out blocks.

Happy Easter
Our egg hunt was a fabulous success thanks to our wonderful parents! Everything was just perfect. We were blessed with gorgeous weather, and the children had a blast. We were fortunate to have Mr. Joe McDaniel come to share with the children about the importance of Easter.

Skittles: Taste the Rainbow!
We enjoyed some yummy math with Skittles for Ss week. We sorted, graphed, made patterns, and even used Skittles to measure. We also made up some similes about the Skittles: They are as colorful as a rainbow. They are as round as buttons. They are as sweet as a baby kitten.

Pink Poodles and Patchwork Quilts
New Art Word: Modge Podge
The children used Modge Podge to create patchwork quilts with tissue paper for their teddy bears. Mrs. Simmons also explained how she used Modge Podge and the children's ice cream drawings to decorate our class's Cherry Blossom Poodle.
